Senior general studies major Tramel Hoover of Homewood, IL., loves his Black Studies 302 course. Hoover feels is issues that are discussed in class are of importance. “We talk about being an African American male and the conflicts they face,” Hoover said. “I feel it will help better me in the future and in being an African American male. He also attributes his love the class due to his instructor Davis Seymour. “He’s a great role model,” Hoover said of Seymour. “And he teaches the class in a great manner; it’s relaxed and he’s open to everyone’s opinion.” Photo by Michelle LaVigne/Creative Services
