Left to right, junior Marisa Schuler of Streator, IL., senior Brian Hefferan of Lake Zurich, IL., and Chloe Saint Arbor of DeKalb, IL., all three participants in the educator licensure in english language arts program, came to the Study of Women Gender and Sexuality office to pick up stickers and buttons showing their support for the “This is What a Feminist Looks Like” Sticker Day. “People are afraid of the word ‘feminist’,” Saint Arbor said. “Even in a college setting.” She said when someone wears one of these stickers, they are more likely to ask about it. This is powerful because people-to-people education is more effective than any other form of learning. “And I also share it all over social media,” Saint Arbore said.
