Freshman Elis Sassi of Island Lake, Ill., is majoring in pre- physical therapy, a major she chose after her experience undergoing two surgeries on her knees, the result of tearing her ACL and meniscus from playing soccer and basketball. The result was over 9 months of no activity, two weeks in a wheel chair and a lot of physical therapy. "I remember how much pain I was in then and now I'm perfect. It's so cool how much it helped." In turn, Sassi hopes to help others going through a similar experience.
