First year grad student in special education Ellen Farley (left,) of DeKalb, IL., and program coordinator for the Center for the Study of Women Gender and Sexuality Rebecca Kohli join in the “This is What a Feminist Looks Like" Sticker Day event by wearing their pick from the stickers available inside the CSWGS office. Farley said that the stickers help break down the misconception that feminists are just one type of woman. “They are all different people from all different backgrounds,” Farley said. Kohli said that the Sticker Day event is one of her favorites to coordinate. “It brings all feminists into our office,” Kohli said. “I think we give them permission to claim the ‘F’word. Encouragement and permission.”
