Sociology major Allison Rugg of Lombard, Ill., holds up her cap which she decorated for the commencement ceremony. Rugg just returned from spending a semester abroad in Australia. "My roommate was English so I picked up an English accent while I was there," Rugg said. She picked Australia for it's beaches and laid back lifestyle. "It was just calling my name," Rugg said. Her experience abroad left her feeling more confident. "I was just in another country all by myself and I survived," Rugg said. And now she wants to keep traveling. "I met people from all different countries, "Rugg said. "So now I have to visit all of them."
