NIU members of Best Buddies and their “buddies” dance, eat, talk and celebrate with one another during their end-of-year event, the Buddy Ball. In the Best Buddies Friendship program, NIU students are paired with local residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Throughout the school year, they build a friendship and attend various Best Buddies events together.
