FINAL: Connie Ellett is a third-generation Huskie who will be awarded her Bachelor of Science degree in marketing along with a professional sales certificate this May. Connie is the captain of the NIU golf team, was named to the dean’s list and as an Academic All-American the last three years. She is a member of the Marketing Honor Society, the Marketing Student Advisory Board and the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. She has dedicated her time to the Salvation Army, DeKalb Nursing Home and Tyler Elementary school. Last year she was the NIU Professional Sales Showcase runner-up and on the winning team for the business-to-business selling competition. Her coach describes her as a natural leader who motivates and inspires other teammates. Connie recently accepted a position with Enterprise Rent a Car Exotic Division in Scottsdale, AZ. She says the skills and experience that NIU’s Marketing Department and NIU athletics have provided helped make her dreams a reality. She is grateful to NIU and says that no matter where her future takes her, she will always be a loyal Huskie! Ellett is a recipient of the Presidential Commission on the Status of Women Outstanding Women Student award.
