FINAL: Incoming senior kinesiology major Fabian Yanez of Chicago, IL, is staying on campus to continue part-time work at Toppers Pizza and attend summer class. Yanez said he used to go home all the time, but now he prefers to stay at NIU for the summer. “There’s more freedom here,” Yanez said. He will be concentrating on tackling a class on anatomy, which has a reputation among his peers, for being the hardest class in the kinesiology curriculum. He’s embracing the challenge however, and avoiding the temptation of just sitting around. “I would rather stay productive,“ Yanez said. “It’s easy to binge-watch nine consecutive seasons of a show and feel bad about it afterwards.”
