FINAL: During his participation in the NIU physics department's QuarkNet program, Neuqua Valley High School student Ved Bhagwat of Naperville, IL, found it interesting how proton therapy can be used in cancer patients and the detection of different cancers. Bhagwat is interested in pursuing a career in possibly chemical engineering or just chemistry after graduation.
