FINAL: An activity from earlier in the week remains on the dry-erase board inside of the writing camp classroom. The activity involved the students reworking a scene from "The Room" (known as a “comically bad film”), and adapting the scene to different genres. The writing camp provided students writing and reading time in a range of writing styles, the opportunity to hone their writing skills under the guidance of NIU graduate students and the chance to hear feedback on their work. On the final day of camp, each student could present their work or read an excerpt of their work to the entire group.
