FINAL: Fifteen-year-old Metea Valley High School High School student Andrew Wang of Aurora, IL, shows the artwork he designed to accompany the short story he wrote in writing camp, before continuing to read an excerpt from his story to the other participants. The writing camp provided students writing and reading time in a range of writing styles, the opportunity to hone their writing skills under the guidance of NIU graduate students and the chance to hear feedback on their work. On the final day of camp, each student could present their work or read an excerpt of their work to the entire group.
