FINAL: A second-year graduate student in anthropology Anastasia Boettcher of Columbia, MO, said she saw her great-grandmother as a parental figure in her life. “She always gave me unconditional love,” Boettcher recalls. “She was very supportive." Boettcher made her a bracelet which her great-grandmother wore every day, and now that she has passed, Boettcher wears the bracelet daily as well, to keep her close.
