Senior French major Sarah Rosengarten of Carpentersville, IL., and senior english major Stacy Eyman also of Carpentersville, IL., strike a pose in their costumes while attending the NIU Anime Association’s Karoshi Con expo held inside of the Holmes Student Center. Dressing up isn’t out of character for Rosengarten, who said she regularly wears similar variations of her outfit to class. She admits she gets some funny looks, but they don’t bother her. Eyman said that’s one of the advantages of the Karoshi Con, a chance to be with like-minded people and not be concerned with looking out of the ordinary. “I’m more my self,” Eyman said. “You’re around other weirdos, so you feel comfortable.”
