FINAL: Junior public health major Hope Alafogianis of Oak Lawn, IL, picked her major out of personal and social concerns. “I had family members get sick and I had to deal with the health care system.” This experience left Alafogianis frustrated. As a result, she hopes to one day get into health care policy. “I hope to put better policies in play.”
