FINAL: Sophomore mechanical engineering major Elizabeth Busby of Lombard, IL, admits she’s not on LinkedIn yet, but by getting a photo taken at the Internship Career Fair, she intends to be. As a transfer student from Loyola, Busby feels her experience with NIU has been a positive one, especially within in her own college, where she said the engineering department has been kind and helpful starting out with a class that covers an introduction to engineering. The department also helps with the student’s path into their career. “They bring all these companies to you, “ Busby said.
